hopeful romantic
My first EP.
I never expected my first body of work to be romantic in nature. But this project was born out of my own internal process, and this is what the times called for.
Finishing and releasing a collection of music is so much harder than a one-off. Even at just six tracks, the work scales nonlinearly. You have to live with the music so much longer. So much more space for self-judgment and perfectionism to sink their gritty little teeth into you.
But here I am, flaws and all, getting over myself just enough to share this.
For now, I’ve decided to keep it off streaming platforms and host it only on my own. I like the idea of there being a unique way to experience the project, and it gives me the chance to add some extra features.
Built into the player is the ability to leave a voice message. At the end of August, I’ll compile them and add them to the B-side of a limited-run vinyl pressing. Why? Cause it sounded cool, and I like the idea of a bunch of humans sharing their feelings about love in a unique format.
Alright, that’s enough babbling. On with the music.
